What's the Deal with League?

What’s the skinny on League?

If you’re reading this, chances are you have been to the TKTO and loved it just as much as we do! This is your chance to become part of the family!

League is weekly on your registered night, with doors opening at 7pm. Each session runs for nine (9) weeks.

Weeks 1-7, Conventional Games played for seeding in Finals
Week 8 – Semi-Finals (Double elimination style tournament for Novice, Intermediate & Advanced divisions)
Week 9 – Divisional Finals,Skills Competition, Games, Food and Fun!
Each week, League Members throw in the IKTHOF championship style of Conventional Knife Throwing. This consists of throwing from five distances of ½ spin at a minimum two meters, all the way back to 2 ½ spins at a minimum of six meters. There is always time for warm up, practice, and instruction from our staff, professionals, and other friendly league players.

Two scoring games are taken each week for seven weeks, and your top 3 scores (as well as points for attendance) determine your seeding for the Finals.

On the last week, trophies are awarded and there is a catered dinner. In addition on week nine, we play more “games” style small competitions that are wicked fun! Plus, tomahawks ….. yes, tomahawks!

In addition, league members get full use of our proprietary “Quick Draw Cage”! This is the only DEDICATED system area of its kind in the world! Designed, built, and at home, at The TKTO.

Sounds like a lot of unfamiliar terminology? Here’s the translation ….

For those of you who have come for a Private Event or Open Throw, this means you will learn to throw from multiple distances, learning from experienced throwers, eager to meet new and upcoming knife enthusiasts. Because we have so many new throwers coming to our Wednesday League, we will be doing a full intro lesson and walk-through for new members on the first week of each session. If you join after the first week, we will get you caught up, not to worry.

For the first six weeks, you throw full games and those scores are used to set you up for our double-elimination tournaments on weeks seven and eight.

How good at throwing do I need to be to join?

Beginners are encouraged at league!
Everyone is welcome to join League, no matter what their skill level.

If you’re worried about your skill level, fear not! There are separate divisions for everyone based on scoring. You are automatically placed in a division according to your score. As you improve, so does your division.

What if I can’t make it every week?

Not to worry. You only need three scored games over the first seven weeks to qualify for finals. We know people are busy and you might miss a week or two. That’s totally cool. We understand completely. We priced league so it is flexible for everyone, knowing you might not be able to make every single week. We would rather have you join, throw when you can, and have fun.

What if I can’t make it for 7pm?

Doors open at 7pm, but many of our throwers show up throughout the night, as their schedule allows. There is always time for warm up, practice, and instruction from our staff, professionals, and other friendly league players.

What does it cost?

Only $150, including tax. That means, you get all this awesomeness for less than $17/week.

What else do we do besides conventional games?

In addition, we practice and enjoy various other styles of knife throwing such as, no-spin (or “instinctive”) throwing, freestyle and advanced quick draw techniques. We have designed several new games, that are available exclusively to League members. Plus, tomahawks …. yes, tomahawks.

League Members Save 50% on Walk-Ins?

YES! We want to encourage our League Members to come in and improve their skills. All League Members SAVE 50% on Walk-Ins.
