FAQs

Q?

What do you mean by ‘Fragrance Free’?

A.

The TKTO is a Fragrance Free facility.   This means, we ask that you do not wear perfume or cologne when visiting the range.    We have experienced severe allergic reactions in the past, which has cause patrons to have to leave early from events.   As a courtesy to others, we ask that you refrain from using scented products when coming to the TKTO.

Q?

Can I book for just me and a friend?

A.

For smaller groups (1-5 people), we highly recommend attending our Walk-Ins.  Walk-Ins are intended for new and experienced throwers who are looking for a cost-effective way to come as a smaller group.  Walk-Ins are held throughout the week, starting at 7pm Monday, Tuesday and Friday and Sundays starting at 2pm (please check the schedule for upcoming dates). There are no minimum group sizes, or pre-registration.   All walk-ins are handled on a First Come, First Serve basis.

Q?

Are children allowed?

A.

We welcome children 13 years or older to throw knives. Please keep in mind, The TKTO is not a child care facility. We require a parent/guardian to be supervising their child at all times.   We require one parent/guardian per every two children.   The TKTO will not be held responsible for children under the age of 18 in the facility.

Q?

Where exactly are you located?

A.

The TKTO Entrance is on Cranfield Rd.
6 Curity Ave is a very large complex, taking up the entire block.   The TKTO is located just around the corner from the main entrance to the building, on Cranfield Rd.

Q?

Can I bring my own knives?

A.

The TKTO is very strict about the types of knives we allow to be thrown at the range.  Knives must be a minimum of 12" in length and CAN NOT have a sharpened blade.  Ultimately, it is the decision of the Chief Instructor whether or not you can throw your personal knives.

Q?

Is there parking available?

A.

On evenings and weekends, you can often park directly across the street from the range.  For weekday bookings, we recommend parking at the Home Depot, just south of the range and walking from there (approximately half a block).

Q?

What are your food & beverage options?

A.

You are welcome to bring food and beverages to our facility.  Please be aware, the TKTO does not offer any kitchen, including refrigeration, cooking ranges or ovens, barbecues, microwaves or sinks. 6' folding tables and a small cocktail table are available to set out a buffet-style meal, however proper dining tables and chairs are not onsite.

Regarding catering and food deliveries: Please ensure somebody from your group is present when the delivery arrives. We recommend requesting a phone call from the delivery person prior to arrival. The TKTO will not be held responsible for food deliveries when a group member is not present.
